Medical help to the pilgrims of Pandharpur Vari.

Pandharpur Vari (Pilgrimage) is a very prominent and about 800 years old religious tradition in Maharashtra. Thousands of devotees of Shri Pandurang walk in procession from various places to reach Pandharpur on Ekadashi of Ashadha. They walk the distance of about 300 kms. in fifteen days or so. Defying odds and braving all the vagaries of freaky weather they walk to reach the destination in time.

Many pilgrims feel exhausted and weary due to physical stress. Some fall victim to other illnesses also.

VHL provides primary ‘First Aid OPD treatment’ to hundreds of pilgrims. In few cases indoor treatment also becomes necessary.

An ambulance, fully equipped with basic gadgets and enough stock of drugs accompanies the procession for last 12 days of the schedule. Hundreds of participants take help of the mobile OPD to ward off their discomfort. We are providing this service for last 15 years.
