Vivekanand Hospital has always remained at the forefront of operations providing rescew, relief and rehabilitation services to the victims of natural calamities. So far, we have dutifully contributed to the relief operation in -

• Killari earthquake (1993)
• Gujrath Earthquake (2001)
• Tsunami Calamity in Tamilnadu (2003)
• Mumbai Floods (2006)
• Chikungunya Epidemic (2006)
• Bihar Floods (2008)
• Kolhapur Floods (2019 - in cash)

Most remarkable & comprehensive relief activities were done after Killari Earthquake. A big earthquake, measuring more than 7 Richter Scale, struck Killari area, about 30 kms from Latur and devastated the area toppling down more than 3000 houses and burying more than 10000 lives. We were on the ‘ground zero’ within two hours of the quake, equipped with two ambulances loded with drugs and other material. From that point of time the relief work continued for one and half year, relentlessly. We transported hundreds of injured victims to the hospital and treated them with what ever was necessary. The hospital was converted into a relief hospital, suspending the routine hospital work.The total rehabilitation work including construction of 110 houses was done for the village Rebe Chincholi

In Gujrath earthquake calamity and Tsunami calamity in Tamilnadu we had sent a fully equipped mobile clinic housing even an operation theater in the van. The van moved in the affected area and treated hundreds of victims.
